This FAQ is for the D-Link DWL-2100AP and DWL-7100AP access points.

Step 1: Open a web browser and type the IP address of the access point in the address bar (default is 192.168.0.50). Press Enter.

Step 2: The default username is admin (all lower case) and the default password is blank (nothing). Click OK.

Step 3: Click the Advanced tab and then click DHCP Server.

Step 4: Click Static Pool Settings.

Step 5: By default this feature is disabled. To enable it select Enabled from the drop-down list next to Function Disable/Enable.

Step 6: Enter the IP address that you want to assign to the device in the text box next to Assigned IP. Enter the device´s MAC address in the text box next to Assigned MAC Address. Also, input the Subnet Mask and Gateway. All other fields are optional.

Step 7: Click Apply and then click Continue to save the settings.

This FAQ tells you about how to switch to the wireless on D-Link DGL-4500 and applies to the DGL-4500 only.

Step 1: Open your web browser and type in the IP address of the router (192.168.0.1 by default).

Step 2: Enter the username (admin) and password (blank by default), and then click Ok or Log In .

Step 3: Click on the Basic tab and click Wireless on the left hand side.

Step 4: Click the 5.0GHz radio button and click Save Settings.

Windows 7, Vista and XP can provide updates and drivers to currently installed or new adapters using Windows Update. As soon as the device is plugged in or recently installed, Windows will attempt to connect to the Internet and download the drivers automatically.

Step 1: Use an Ethernet cable and plug your computer directly to your Internet gateway. Make sure Internet is accessible.

Step 2: Place your new adapter in the proper slot or port.

Step 3: With your computer running, a bubble message will appear stating that this device was not installed successfully. Left click on the message.
But if the message no longer appears, skip to Device Manager Installation.

Step 4: On driver installation failure, you can change the setting to use Windows Update by clicking Change setting…

Step 5: Chose to allow Windows to update your driver when it is not found on you computer.

Step 6: Once the driver installs successfully, close the window.

Step 7: Click/Right Click on the Network Icon located on the system tray to View the Available Wireless Networks. Find your personal Network and double click to connect. It should request for a wireless key, which by now should have been set up.

Driver Installation through the Device Manager

Step 1: In the Start menu, right-click on Computer to select Manage.

Step 2: On the left, select Device Manager to bring it up on the right.

Note: If the Driver software has not installed correctly, the partially installed adapter will come up in the Other devices group. Just as it is shown in the previous image.

Step 3: Right click on the unknown adapter to Update Driver Software..

Step 4: Click to Search automatically for updated driver software.

Note: If Windows was unable to install your Adapter, Windows may not be set to install automatically.

Step 5: Make sure the proper settings are selected by arriving to them with the followings routes:

Windows 7/Vista: Clink on Start > Right click Computer > Properties > Advanced system settings > Hardware tab > Device Installation Settings

Step 6: Click on Save Settings or OK to apply the change.

Confirmation of a successful Driver installation is achieved when the model of your adapter is label and listed in the Network adapters group of the Device Manager.

Step 1: Insert the DBT-120 Wireless Bluetooth 2.0 USB Adapter into you Vista / Windows 7 PC.

Step 2: Reboot the computer. Waiting for Vista / Windows 7 to recognize the new hardware. Once it prompts you to locate the driver. Click Locate And Install Driver Software (Recommended).

Step 3: Allow Vista / Windows 7 to locate and install drivers from the Internet.

Step 4: After the drivers are installed, Vista / Windows 7 will tell you the device has installed properly and is ready to use.

The D-Link DBT-120 is now installed and ready to use in Vista / Windows 7.

Some people forget the D-Link DAP-1522 password,This article teaches how do reset on DAP-1522.

Step 1: With the unit on, place a paper clip into the hole on the back on the unit labeled Reset.

Step 2: Hold paper clip down for 10 seconds and release.

Note: Do not repower unit during this procedure.

Step 3: The unit will reboot on its own. Once the WLAN light stops blinking, the unit is reset.

Resetting the D-Link DAP-1522 will change all settings back to factory defaults.

Note: The factory defaults name is admin, and password is blank(nothing).
