Step 1: Go to http://dlink.com and go to the support website for your DNS Storage Device. Download the add-on you wish to install.

Step 2: Log into D-Link DNS-321/343 web based configuration and click the Advanced tab then click Add-ons on the left. Click Browse under Application Pack and browse for the location of the Package file and click OK. Next click Apply to load the application to the unit.

Step 3: Start the application by clicking on the Start icon as shown below. You can stop the application in the same manner by clicking the Stop icon.

How do I configure my Mac OS X computer to connect to a L2TP over IPsec Tunnel on my DFL Series Firewall?

Step 1: Please open the Internet Connect Utility, it can be found at Applications->Internet Connect.

Step 2: Please choose VPN (L2TP) then choose Configuration->Edit Configurations..

Step 3: Fill in Authentication details, Click OK when finished.

Click Connect, you should now be connected to your VPN.

Step 1: Click the Site Setup button.

Step 2: Input the unit name.

Step 3: Input the IP address.

Step 4: Modify the port if necessary.

Step 5: Input the user name.

Step 6: Input the password.

Step 7: Check the Save Password/ Auto Login option (optional).

Step 8: Click the Test Server button to test the connection between the local application and the remote unit.

Step 9: Click the Add button to add this unit into your remote server list.

Step 10: Click the OK button.

Note: If using the Multi-NVR program remotely be sure to open port 5150 in your routers firewall for the DNS-726-4. This can be done by creating either port forwarding or virtual server rule.


Set Groups for Cameras

Step 1: Click the Group. tab

Step 2: Log in to all the servers that contain the camera(s) you would like to put into group(s).

Step 3: Click the Insert button to create a new group.

Step 4: Name this group.

Step 5: Highlight the camera(s) that you would like to add into this group and then click the button.

Step 6: Repeat step 4 to establish the group.

Step 7: Repeat step 1 through 6 to establish other groups.

Step 8: Click the OK button.

Delete/Rename Groups for Cameras

Step 1: Click the Site Setup button.

Step 2: Click the Group tab.

Step 3: Click the group which you would like to modify.

Step 4: Click the Delete or Rename button to remove or rename that group.

Step 5: Repeat step 2 through 3 to modify other groups.

Step 6: Click the OK button.


Setup Remote Live View through Application

Step 1: Click the unit you wish to access in your remote server list.

Step 2: Click the Log In button to access your unit.

Step 3: Select the camera(s) from the camera list on the right, and then drag it to where you wish the image to be displayed.

1.Find an available outlet near your wireless router. Plug the DCH-M225 in and wait until the LED is blinking amber.

2.Press the WPS button on your wireless router.

3.Within one minute, press the WPS button on the D-Link DCH-M225. The LED will start to blink.When the LED turns solid green, this indicates that the DCH-M225 is securely connected to your wireless router or access point.

4.You can now unplug and move the DCH-M225 to a location between your wireless router and the area that you need
wireless coverage.

5.From your wireless device go to the Wireless Utility to display the available wireless networks.

The SSID on the DCH-M225 will automatically be assigned: (Your Router’s SSID)-EXT

The Wi-Fi password for the DCH-M225 will be the same as your router. Repeat step 5 to connect additional devices to
the D-Link DCH-M225.

6.Your device is now connected to the DCH-M225 and can connect to your wireless router. If you want to change your
network settings, password, etc., follow the steps under Configure the DCH-M225 Using a Web Browser to connect and
configure the DCH-M225. To connect additional devices, repeat step 5.

1.Can multiple users access the devices?

Yes but will use the same login credentials (admin). D-Link is working on a multi-user guest account feature in a future release.

 

2.Will other devices work with D-Link Home Automation solution?

Our products are Wi-Fi based so they work with any home automation solution products that don’t require a hub. D-Link developed a comprehensive app that connects our smart plugs, motion sensors, cameras.

 

3.IFTT supported?

No, we’re evaluating this feature.

 

4.In the case of a break in, will the police be contacted?

D-Link offers a do-it-yourself solution that provides value to consumers. Using our mydlink cameras, users can remotely check on their homes when motion is detected.

 

5.Will D-Link devices work outside the US?

Your mydlink Wi-Fi devices will work outside the US as long as there is internet access (for the myHome app). Smart plug can be used without internet access (local mode).

 

6.Can you control the devices via a web browser?

No, it requires a mobile app to control and manage the devices. myHome app provides the capability to control devices remotely.

 

7.Does the myHome app support Windows Phones?

No, it doesn’t. myHome app only supports iOS and Android.

 

8.How can I change the notification sound?

Go to settings on your smartphone and follow the instructions.
