Parents will be able to talk to their baby through the built-in speaker, offering familiar vocal sounds to cajole awoken babies back to sleep.
On top of that, the megapixel camera delivers 720p high-definition visuals with a four times digital zoom function for easy and clear viewing. It is also fitted with a night vision mode that turns on automatically when it gets dark, saving parents the trouble of having to switch on sleep-disturbing lights. This allows parents to keep an eye on their child no matter what time of the day it is.
Day/Night Baby Camera with Remote Monitoring DCS-825L User Reviews
1.(From www.amazon.com)I have been looking for a baby camera for a while now and when i saw this product i was excited that it would be perfect. As far as image quality is concerned, this is much better than a lot of the competition out there BUT only if you can get this to connect. The initial process is a painful 10 step process that will not work if you use the popular WEP wifi encryption in your household. The monitor supports WEP but “its not available yet” according to D-link. So without proper wifi support, this monitor is no different than any other local network based connection. Also, there is no proper iOS notification system in place, you have to open the app to see the notifications, obviously not helpful for a baby monitor which you want real time notifications.
i would buy it again after more positive reviews here and on the dlink 825L message board, which is currently full of people with similar issues and no real timeline for fixes.
So 2 stars because the hardware is great but the software and installation issues makes it unsuitable for its main purpose as a baby monitor
2.The camera transmits 720P video signals over your home’s Wi-Fi network, which allows you to access the feed from anywhere on earth using the mydlink Baby Mobile app on your smartphone. But if your home’s lacking a wireless network, D-Link’s Baby Camera can work as a standalone hotspot letting you connect a mobile device directly to it.
Infrared LEDs automatically come on when the room gets too dark, letting you monitor a crib from up to 15 feet away, and a temperature sensor can automatically send notifications to your phone when a nursery gets too hot or too cold. The Baby Camera also has built-in sound and motion detectors and will send you an alert when a child has become active after a nap, or you can use it to trigger a recording that’s saved locally to a microSD card.
Of course if you’re not actually there to satiate a crying baby there’s not much you can do to get it back to sleep. So the D-Link Baby Camera even includes five pre-recorded lullabies you can remotely trigger that should at least serve as a temporary distraction. It will be available for $180 starting in January, which gives you plenty of time to give your nanny their two-week notice.(From:http://gizmodo.com/d-links-nightvision-baby-cam-can-play-lullabies-for-re-1494081561)
