D-Link has introduced aN addition to its portable and lightweight multi-function pocket router family for wireless access on the fly.
The D-Link Wireless N DAP-1350) with multi-mode functionality can be used as a wireless router to create an 802.11n network or as an access point to add Wi-Fi to an existing wired network for connectivity on the go. Thecomes with its own travel case and is compact enough to be carried while travelling. When operating in wireless client mode, the router supports Power over USB to use a PC to power the device if a power outlet is not accessible. It is also equipped with multiple intelligent antennas for better speed and range of the wireless signals. These internal antennas also serve to bounce wireless signals off walls and ceilings to work around obstacles and help eliminate dead spots.
The DAP-1350 offers the latest wireless security features to help prevent unauthorized access. It supports WPA and WPA2 and is equipped with a WPS push button to easily add devices and secure the network. Additionally, it includes SharePortTM Technology, which allows sharing of a USB printer or storage when in router mode.
